How to make Crispy Sweet Chicken Chilli

Marinate and Fry the Chicken

  1. In a bowl, mix the chicken pieces with cornflour, all-purpose flour, egg, ginger-garlic paste, salt, and pepper.

  2. Let it sit for 15–20 minutes.

  3. Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the chicken pieces until golden brown and crispy. Remove and set aside on paper towels.

Prepare the Sauce

  1. In a wok or pan, heat 1 tbsp oil.

  2. Add garlic, ginger, and green chilli. Sauté for a few seconds until fragrant.

  3. Add onion and capsicum. Stir-fry for 1–2 minutes, keeping them slightly crunchy.

  4. Add tomato ketchup, red chilli sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, and honey or brown sugar.

  5. Mix well and cook for another minute. Adjust salt to taste.

Combine

  1. Add the fried chicken to the sauce and toss well to coat evenly.

  2. Cook for 2–3 minutes on high heat until everything is well combined.

Serve

  1. Garnish with chopped spring onions.

  2. Serve hot as a starter or pair with fried rice or noodles.
