A classic Indian dessert made from rice, milk, and cardamom, enriched with almonds for crunch. It's not just delicious but also a trip through India's culinary history in every bite.

Ingredients

8 Servings
  • 1/2cup
    Basmati chawal (Soaked for 1 hour)
  • 2L
    Doodh
  • 1cup
    Cheeni
  • 3/4tbsp
    Green cardamom
  • 2g
    Badam chopped
  • 150
    Fresh cream

Method

  1. In a pot, add milk, rice, cardamom and bring it to a boil, and cook for 30/35 minutes, or until the rice are cooked, and keep stirring in between.

  2. Blend with a hand blender.

  3. Add sugar, and fresh cream mix well, and cook on high flame for 2/3 minutes.

  4. In the end, sprinkle almonds.

  5. Rice Kheer is ready to serve.
