    onion, finely chopped

    garlic
  • 1/2
    stalk celery, finely chopped
  • 3tbsp
    curry of your choice
  • 2tbsp
    turmeric
  • 500g
    beef mince
  • 1/2cup
    chutney
  • 1pinch
    salt
  • 1dash
    black pepper

White Sauce

  • 60g
    butter
  • 120g
    flour
  • 500mL
    milk
  • 1pinch
    salt
  • 1dash
    black pepper

Layering

  • 1
    package lasagne sheets
  • 1cup
    cheddar cheese, grated

How to make Curry Beef Lasagne

Curry Beef

  1. In a warm pan with oil, sauté the onions until golden brown, then add garlic and celery.

  2. Add beef mince, curry, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  3. Add 1 cup of water and bring it to a boil for 10 minutes.

  4. Once the water is reduced, add the chutney and simmer for another 5 minutes.

  5. Set aside.

White Sauce

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan.

  2. Add flour and whisk in milk, continuing to whisk to prevent lumps.

  3. Add a pinch of salt and some black pepper to taste.

Layering

  1. Start with a layer of the curry beef.

  2. Follow with a layer of lasagne sheets.

  3. Add a layer of white sauce.

  4. Repeat the layers and top with grated cheddar cheese.

  5. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
