How to make Freestyle Chicken Brine

Preparing the Brine

  1. In a large container, combine water, sugar, and salt. Stir until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved.

  2. Add banana pepper juice, banana peppers, and onion to the mixture.

  3. Add fresh thyme, oregano, and sage to the brine.

  4. Submerge the chicken in the brine and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.

  5. Slice the chicken and marinate it for an hour.

  6. Prepare the dusting of your choice. I'm using potato starch, all-purpose flour, and my seasoning.

  7. Coat the chicken properly and fry it in oil at 350 degrees until golden brown.
