A flavorful and easy-to-make chickpea curry with aromatic spices.

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = approximately 140 grams)
  • 2tbsp
    oil
  • 1/2tsp
    zeera
  • 1piece
    onion, small, sliced
  • 1tsp
    garlic and ginger paste
  • 1tsp
    red chilli powder
  • 1/2tsp
    coriander powder
  • 1/4tsp
    turmeric powder
  • 340g
    chickpeas, boiled
  • 1piece
    tomato, cubed
  • 1piece
    green chilli, chopped
  • 1pinch
    garam masala
  • 1tbsp
    coriander leaves, chopped

How to make Simple Chickpea Curry

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add zeera to sputter.

  2. Add onion and fry until translucent.

  3. Add garlic and ginger paste, fry for a minute.

  4. Add all spices, mix well.

  5. Add chickpeas, salt, and tomato, fry for a minute.

  6. Add a little water for the curry and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.

  7. Add green chilli, sprinkle garam masala, and garnish with coriander leaves.

Tips & Tricks

  1. If you are watching your weight, you can have 140 grams of curry with two 30-gram rotis per meal.
