Chicken Steak with Mushroom Sauce

Ingredients
Chicken Marinade
- 500gchicken fillets
- 1tspblack pepper
- 1tspsalt
- 2tspmustard
- 1tspthyme
- 2tbspOil
Cooking Ingredients
- 2tbspbutter
- 1tspgarlic, chopped
- 100gmushrooms, sliced
- 1/2cupcream
- 1/4piecechicken cube
- 1tspWorcestershire sauce
- 1/4tspsalt
- 1/4tspblack pepper
How to make Chicken Steak with Mushroom Sauce
Marinating the Chicken
Marinate chicken fillets with mustard, salt, black pepper, and thyme for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking the Chicken
Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken fillets on medium heat for 3 minutes on each side.
Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
Preparing the Mushroom Sauce
In the same pan, melt butter and add chopped garlic and sliced mushrooms. Fry for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add chicken cube, Worcestershire sauce, cream, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the sauce reaches the desired consistency.
Serving
Pour the mushroom sauce over the cooked chicken fillets.
Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or French fries and vegetables.
Tips & Tricks
Do check if the steak is fully cooked before taking out. As the cooking time may vary due to thickness of steak.
For extra flavor, let the chicken marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
Ensure the sauce is not too thick by adjusting the cream quantity to your preference.
