- 1tspGaram masala powder
To Cook Chicken
- 3tbspCooking oil
- 1 1/2tbspGarlic chopped
- 1 1/2tbspGinger chopped
- 2pieceGreen chilli chopped
- 2tbspMint leaves chopped
- 2tbspFresh coriander chopped
For Spiced Rice
- 1/4cupCooking oil
- 1pieceOnion chopped
- 1/2tbspGarlic chopped
- 1tbspGinger chopped
- 2pieceGreen chillies chopped
- 1tspSalt
- 2tbspFresh coriander chopped
- 1 1/2tbspMint leaves chopped
- 500gRice soaked & boiled with salt until 3/4th done

How to make Chatpata Chicken with Spiced Rice
Marinate Chicken
Combine paprika, turmeric, salt, lemon juice, and ginger garlic paste to make a paste.
Add chicken to the marinade and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
Prepare Spiced Yogurt
Add garam masala, chaat masala, black pepper, cumin seeds, coriander powder, red chilli powder, and turmeric to the yogurt.
Whisk well to combine.
Cook Chicken
Heat oil and add ginger, garlic, and green chilli. Mix well.
Add marinated chicken and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
Increase the flame and cook until the water dries up.
Pour 3 tbsp of spiced yogurt, 2 tbsp mint leaves, 2 tbsp coriander leaves, and remaining chopped green chilli. Cover and cook on low flame for 5 minutes.
Turn chicken pieces, pour another 3 tbsp of spiced yogurt, 2 tbsp mint leaves, and 2 tbsp coriander leaves. Cover and cook again on low flame for 5 minutes. Keep aside.
Prepare Spiced Rice
Heat oil and add onion. Fry until golden brown.
Add ginger, garlic, and green chilli. Mix well for a minute.
Add spiced yogurt, mix well, and cook for 2 minutes.
Add salt, mix well, and add coriander leaves and mint leaves. Mix again.
Add boiled rice, mix well, and let it steam for 10 minutes.
