A moist and delicious banana bread made with ripe bananas and optional nuts or chocolate chips.
Ingredients
- 8tbspunsalted butter
- 1cupgranulated sugar
- 2piecelarge eggs
- 1/4cupmilk
- 1tspvanilla extract
- 3piecemedium bananas, very ripe
- 2cupall-purpose flour
- 1tspbaking soda
- 1/4tspkosher salt
- 1/2cupchopped nuts or chocolate chips (optional)
How to make Banana Bread
Heat the oven to 350°F and prepare an 8x5-inch loaf pan.
Melt the butter and mix with sugar in a large bowl.
Add eggs, milk, and vanilla, whisking until smooth.
Mash in the ripe bananas, leaving them as chunky or smooth as desired.
Add flour, baking soda, and salt, stirring until barely combined.
Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.
Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 50-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove and cool for another 10 minutes before slicing.
Tips & Tricks
Ensure the bananas are very ripe for the best flavor and texture.
You can add a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor.
