    ground ogbono seeds
  • 1/2cup
    palm oil
  • 1lb
    beef
  • 1piece
    dried fish
  • 1cup
    dried prawn
  • 1piece
    stock fish

    chopped uziza leaves
  • 1tsp
    dried pepper
  • 1tsp
    seasoning
  • 1tsp
    salt

How to make Ogbono Soup

  1. Wash the beef, dried fish, dried prawn, and stock fish thoroughly with cold water and set aside.

  2. Add the washed beef, dried fish, prawn, and stock fish to a pot.

  3. Add seasoning, salt, and a cup of water. Set on fire to cook for about 10 minutes.

  4. Place the ground ogbono in a plate, add palm oil to it, and place it on top of the pot while the proteins cook.

  5. After the proteins are cooked, add 2 cups of water to the pot and allow to boil for 3 minutes.

  6. Scoop some stock from the pot and add to the plate of ogbono. Mix thoroughly to ensure there are no lumps.

  7. Pour the mixture into the pot, stir gently, and allow to cook for 10 minutes. Do not cover the pot at this point.

  8. Add the chopped uziza leaves, pepper, and seasoning. Stir and allow to cook for 3 minutes.

  9. Add salt to taste and cook for an additional minute.

  10. Serve with your preferred swallow.
