FAQS
How do I make Suji Balls crispy on the outside and soft on the inside?
To achieve the perfect texture for Suji Balls, ensure that you fry them in hot oil. This helps create a crispy outer layer while keeping the inside soft. Additionally, letting the mixture cool before shaping the balls allows them to hold their shape better during frying.
Can I make Suji Balls vegan and gluten-free?
Yes, Suji Balls are naturally gluten-free as they are made from semolina. To make them vegan, simply replace the butter with oil for frying. This way, you can enjoy a delicious vegetarian snack that fits your dietary preferences.
What are some good substitutions for vegetables in Suji Balls?
You can customize Suji Balls by using a variety of vegetables. If you don't have bell peppers, broccoli, beans, or carrots, feel free to substitute with peas, zucchini, or spinach. Just make sure to chop them finely so they mix well with the semolina.
How should I store leftover Suji Balls?
To store leftover Suji Balls, let them cool completely and then place them in an airtight container. They can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days. To reheat, you can shallow fry them again or bake them in the oven to regain their crispiness.
What dips pair well with Suji Balls?
Suji Balls are delicious when served with a variety of dips. Popular choices include mint chutney, tamarind chutney, and tomato ketchup. You can also try serving them with yogurt sauce or a spicy salsa for an extra kick!
