How to make DATES AND WALNUT CAKE

  1. Step 1

    In a sauce pan add the seedless dates along with 60 g milk, 120 g water and 1/4 tsp baking soda. Let it boil and cook the dates until they are soft and mushy.

  2. Step 2

    Let the dates cool down slightly and then transfer it to the blender jar. Add curd, oil, milk, vanilla essence, baking powder, baking soda, flour and cinnamon powder. Blend well until smooth batter. DO NOT OVER MIX.

  3. Step 3

    Transfer the batter to the greased 7-8 inch pan. Top with choco chips and walnuts.

  4. Step 4

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes or till the toothpick comes out clean.
