Buffalo Sukuti Sandheko is a spicy and savory Nepali dish made with buffalo dry meat marinated in a flavorful spicy sauce.

Ingredients

4 Servings
(1 serving = 150 gm)

Sauce

  • 100g
    chili flakes (mild spicy)
  • 150mL
    pure mustard oil
  • 3tbsp
    ginger garlic paste
  • 2tbsp
    roasted cumin powder
  • 1tbsp
    salt

Buffalo Sukuti

  • 500g
    buffalo dry meat
  • 1L
    water
  • 1piece
    large stick fresh garlic (long strip cut)
  • 25g
    ginger (julienne cut for garnish)

Method

Sauce Preparation

  1. In a large saucepan, heat the mustard oil.

  2. Once the oil is hot, pour it over the chili flakes and add ginger garlic paste, roasted cumin powder, and salt. Allow it to cool for a minimum of 30 minutes in the chiller.

Buffalo Sukuti Preparation

  1. Boil the buffalo dry meat in water until it softens and becomes tender.

  2. Shred the softened meat into small pieces by pulling it apart or cutting it.

  3. Add 3-4 tablespoons of the prepared sauce to the shredded meat. Also, add ginger and fresh garlic leaves, then mix well before serving.
