How to make Paneer Biryani

Prepare Paneer Gravy

  1. Step 1

    In a pan, heat ghee and fry dry fruits until golden. Remove and set aside.

  2. Step 2

    In the same pan, fry paneer cubes until golden. Remove and set aside.

  3. Step 3

    In the same pan, fry sliced onions until golden brown. Add spice mix and chopped tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes are soft.

  4. Step 4

    Add water and let it simmer. Add the fried paneer back into the pan. Cook until the gravy thickens slightly.

Prepare Rice

  1. Step 1

    In another pan, heat ghee and add chopped onions, cumin seeds, black pepper, green and black cardamom, tej patta, cinnamon stick, salt, and green chilli.

  2. Step 2

    Fry until onions turn golden brown.

  3. Step 3

    Add rice and water. Cook until rice is almost done.

  4. Step 4

    Add fried dry fruits to the rice.

Combine and Serve

  1. Step 1

    Layer the paneer gravy over the almost cooked rice.

  2. Step 2

    Cover and let it cook for another 10 minutes.

  3. Step 3

    Serve hot.
