How to make Mutton Tehri

Cooking Mutton

  1. Pressure cook the mutton with salt and water for 20 to 25 minutes. Cook on high flame for 10 minutes and then on low flame for the remaining time.

Preparing the Tehri

  1. In a large pot, heat ghee and sauté onions until golden brown.

  2. Add slit green chillies, cumin, and bay leaves. Sauté for a few minutes.

  3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 3 to 5 minutes.

  4. Add diced potatoes, prepared spice paste, curd, and water. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes.

  5. Add the cooked mutton, rice, salt, and water. Cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes until the rice is done.
