PINWHEEL BEEF SAMOSA recipe

Ingredients

5 Servings
(1 serving = 4 pinwheel Samosas)

For the sides

  • 1tbsp
    of tomatoes paste
  • 1/4tsp
    of ginger and garlic paste
  • 2tbsp
    of mayonnaise
  • pinch
    of salt
  • Pepper

For sauce

  • Grounded beef
  • Salt
  • Ginger and garlic paste
  • Pepper
  • Cabbage
  • Carrot
  • Spices - curry, thyme, maggi
  • Corn flour
  • Vegetable oil
  • Onions
  • Green pepper

For Dough

  • 2cups
    of flour
  • 1/4cup
    of sugar
  • 1/2tbsp
    of baking powder
  • pinch
    of salt
  • 1/3
    of nutmeg
  • 1/2tsp
    of milk
  • 1/2cup
    of water
  • Vegetable oil

How to make PINWHEEL BEEF SAMOSA

For dough

  1. Sieve all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the milk and a bit of vegetable oil. Mix together.

  2. Make a hole in the middle of the dough and add the liquid gradually until a dough is formed.

  3. Keep kneading the dough until smooth and non-sticky.

  4. Put the dough in a bowl and cover to rest for 10 mins.

  5. Cook the meat and allow to cool down. Ground and set aside.

  6. Cut and dice all the vegetables and set aside.

  7. In a pot add a little vegetable oil. When hot, add the salt, onions, ginger and garlic paste and stir fry.

  8. Add the grounded meat and keep stir frying until golden brown. Add all the spices and keep stiring on a low heat.

  9. Add the vegetables and stir until tender.

  10. Add the meat stock and cook for 5 mins

  11. Sprinkle some corn flour in the sauce and mix together.

  12. Allow to boil for another 5 mins and bring down to cool.

  13. Place the dough in a floured surface and roll out until flat and in a square shape.

  14. Place the sauce at the beginning of the rolled out dough.

  15. Whisk an egg in a plate and brush the tips of the dough and roll it to the end until well sealed. Cut the rolled dough into equal sizes and set aside.

  16. In a another plate, add a flour and mix it with 1/2 cup of water. Ensure the mixture is thick and not watery.

  17. Pour the oil in a deep frying pan and place on a medium heat.

    Take each cut samosa and deep into the flour mixture making sure it is well covered and put inside the hot oil.

  18. Fry until golden brown and put in a sieve to drain out the oil.

  19. For the sides which can be used as a dip for the snacks; Mix the mayonnaise, tomato paste, ginger and garlic paste, salt and pepper in a plate. Set aside.

  20. Put the fried pinwheel samosa in a plate with the dip and serve with a chilled juice. Enjoy
