Ingredients
Stuffed Peppers
- 4piecebell peppers
- 1pieceonion, chopped
- 1piececarrot, grated
- 2clovegarlic, minced
- 1cupcooked rice
- 1cuptomato sauce
- 1/2cupwater
- 1/2lbground meat
- 1tbspoil
- 1tspsalt
White Sauce
- 2pieceegg yolks
- 1cupyogurt
- 2tbspflour
- 1/2tspsalt
How to make European-Style Stuffed Peppers
Prepare the Peppers
Cut the tops off the peppers and clean the insides. Save the tops for later.
Prepare the Filling
Sauté onions, grated carrot, and garlic in a pan.
Add seasonings to taste and stir between each ingredient.
Add cooked rice, tomato sauce, and water to the pan.
Remove from heat and mix in the ground meat. Ensure it is mixed well.
Season with a little more salt.
Stuff and Bake the Peppers
Stuff the peppers with the prepared mixture.
Place the tops back on each pepper.
Arrange the peppers in a baking dish.
Sprinkle a little salt on top and add oil and water to the baking dish.
Bake until fully cooked.
Prepare the White Sauce
Mix egg yolks, yogurt, flour, and salt together.
Take the liquid from the bottom of the baking dish and add it to the sauce mixture.
