Ingredients

  • 1lb
    beef stew meat, cubed
  • 1piece
    onion, diced
  • 2piece
    carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 2piece
    celery stalks, sliced
  • 3piece
    potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4cups
    beef broth
  • 1can
    diced tomatoes
  • 2clove
    garlic, minced
  • 1tsp
    dried thyme
  • 1tsp
    dried rosemary
  • 2tbsp
    olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to make Beef Stew

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add beef stew meat and brown on all sides.

  2. Add onion, carrots, and celery to the pot and sauté until vegetables are softened.

  3. Stir in garlic, thyme, and rosemary, and cook for another minute.

  4. Add beef broth, diced tomatoes, and potatoes to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1-2 hours, or until beef is tender.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.

Tips & Tricks

  1. For a thicker stew, you can mash some of the potatoes against the side of the pot.

  2. Adjust the seasoning to your preference by adding more herbs or spices.
